Like all drains, the shower drain is designed to transport wastewater out of the building and into the sewer main. When showers were first invented, the used water would simply be re-circulated to use the next time, so it is plain to see that our modern shower drains are a vital part of our home plumbing system. Also like sink drains, they are made of black ABS pipe and have p-trap, which blocks gasses from reentering the building.
Sometimes, however, the drain gets clogged. Water should drain immediately when you're showering and in just a few minutes after a bath. If it's draining slowly, your tub or shower trap and drainpipe is probably clogged with soap and hair.
When the shower drain stops doing its job, that's the right time to let a Rainforest Plumbing &: Air technician do his job. Give us a call today at (480) 615-7766
