A/C Units
Affordable air conditioning is
likely to be on top of your list for comfortable living in a desert
environment. It’s no surprise that air conditioning units
in Arizona can cost a fortune in utility bills. And what happens
when your precious investment stops working randomly one day? Rainforest
Plumbing & Air knows the pain of going even one summer day with a broken air conditioner. We can help you avoid that
pain with our emergency services and super-fast
response times.
How does air conditioning work? Air conditioning
works in a similar way to refrigeration. The air
conditioner uses a compressor and coils
that are filled with refrigerant, a
substance that boils at a very low temperature. Take for example, pure liquid
ammonia, which boils at -27°F. The compressor
first causes the ammonia to condense into its liquid form. At that point, it is forced through the
expansion valve, a low-pressure area. The liquid
ammonia immediately drops to its boiling point (a chilly -27°F) and
vaporizes. Air is then moved over the coils, cooling it down for us to enjoy.
What are the common types of air conditioning? There are different types of air conditioning, with the most
common being your ordinary central air conditioning.
Others may include evaporative or swamp cooling, attic units, and rooftop units. Each of these units has different
advantages in both quality and price.
What are the best air conditioning brands? Getting the best
quality for your money is something we understand. As certified Ruud Air Conditioning vendors, we can guarantee
each ac unit we install will give you the
quality and coolness of air you want! Other common air
conditioning brands we specialize include Carrier, Goodman, York, Lennox,
and Trane AC
Units.
Are there any alternatives to air conditioning? The most popular
alternative to air conditioning is called evaporative
or "swamp" cooling. Due to the
extremely dry climate, having a swamp cooler in Arizona
can help you save money on utility bills and
cool off at the same time. Most homes in Arizona also take advantage of ceiling
fans, shades, and insulation.
A broken air conditioning unit
can be a handful, and with the complex components it is not ideal to try and
repair without the proper knowledge and tools. Rainforest Plumbing & Air
technicians have years of experience in repairing
broken AC units, installing new AC units,
or just inspecting and maintaining air conditioners.
